Sussex Musicians' Club
By Ambrose Page
The Club
Sussex Musicians is a performer's club based in Brighton that has provided a platform for local amateur and professional musicians for over 80 years. Our members are drawn from widely varying backgrounds, including professional musicians, amateurs, students and listeners. The concert meetings offer the opportunity to perform and hear a wide variety of music played at a high standard.

Concerts
Ten to twelve concerts are held each season between September and May, normally on a Saturday at 7.30 pm. These are given by Club members and cover a wide range of solo and ensemble items, both instrumental and vocal. Guest artists and students may be invited to perform. An outline of recent and planned sessions can be viewed below.
Venue
Our concerts are normally held at Brighton and Hove High School for Girls, Montpelier Road, Brighton BN1 3AT. There is one exception to this on 12 March 2011 when we will be meeting at St Philips Church. This concert will give us the opportunity to include some two-piano music.
PLEASE NOTE: We have restored the original starting time to 7.30 pm.
