The map below shows that by 1892 all the Victorian building in the conservation area had been completed. However since that time there has been some infilling and some buildings, such as Saxon House in Clifton Place, have been demolished, to be replaced by modern buildings. Note that the Palace (Brighton) Pier had not yet been built.
